In October, British Airways introduces its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. It is slightly larger than its sister model, 787-8 which was the first in the Dreamliner family.  The first machine to be used on the route between London and Delhi thereafter, the 5/11, is introduced on routes to Abu Dhabi and Muscat in a triangle line called BA073. Thereafter, Kuala Lumpur in December, Austin in February 2016 and in May 2016, San Jose Dreamliner as the visitors. Unlike British Airways Boeing 787-8 787-9 will have four classes on board: First Class (8 seats with 1-2-1 configuration), Club World (42 seats with 2-3-2 configuration), World Traveller Plus (39 seats in 2-3-2 configuration) and World Traveller (127 seats in 3-3-3 configuration).

  What is perhaps most interesting about the introduction of the new aircraft type is that British Airways launches new seats in First Class. The company recently released images of the new cabin which shows an elegant design and very inviting cabin. Since the aircraft is less than other long-haul aircraft in the British Airways fleet is why only eight first class seats, compared with 14 aboard their Boeing 777.
