After a successful trial period last winter, SAS has now decided to invest in Umeå and offer direct connections to Gothenburg every Friday and Sunday. It is the positive feebacken line received last year that make you now choose to return to the line and thus embark in the fight with Malmö Aviation, which earlier this year announced that it will start direct services between the two cities.

– Umeå is an important destination for us and therefore we are very proud to announce our investment in more flights to Umeå. There is an increased interest from the region for direct flights to both Stockholm and Gothenburg and we are pleased to meet this demand, says Anders Wahlström, head of sales at SAS in Sweden.  

In addition to this it will also increase the number of flights between Umeå and Stockholm, Friday, Saturday, Sunday to meet increased demand. New departures Stockholm-Umeå: Fridays: Depart 13:45 Arrive 14:50 Sundays: Depart 15:25 Arrive 16:30 New departures Umeå-Stockholm: Saturdays: Depart 09:00 Arrive 10:00 Sundays: Depart 20:40 Arrive 21:45 Overall, this gives SAS over 80 weekly flights to and from Umeå.
